What a fun weekend!! If anyone out there needs a great Reunion spot - the Vance's found it. It's not a short little jaunt over to the Solberg Pine Creek Cabins in Montana but the long drive was way worth it. It is this beautiful, secluded, little place with about 8 cabins and a creek runs right through the property. The perfect little creek for floating down, wading in and fishing.
Getting ready for the hand off to Grandma
Nora Tess loved the floating. She went down with Clay quite a few times. She's also become quite the little camper. We took her pack 'n play to sleep in and she slept great all bundled up in her sleeping bag and blankets. The first night, it was cold, but the second night she pretty much slept with just a blanket. Peeking in the Tent Window
I think everyone spent most of the day in their bathing suit (especially the kids) playing in the water and enjoying the glorious sunshine. I even got a little sunburned with is a rarity for me! Clay, of course, got red (that's the only color he gets) but didn't end up burned too bad, which was good. I actually didn't get many pictures because we were all just too busy relaxing, and enjoying ourselves. One of the highlights, that I wish had been captured on film was the family float. Tom, Suz, Chip, Melissa, Kelcy, Clay and I all hiked up river past the property line to the next fence and floated the creek clear to the bottom of the property we were staying on. It was alot of fun with a few soakings, some good natured bumper boats and just being together. Mom and Dad ran herd on the 6 grandkids while all of this went on which is exciting in itself when they are all under 4 years old!! Thanks Mom and Dad!!! The Reunion was a hit complete with good times, lots of laughs, an immense amount of delicious food, and Fun-Loving Family.
I swear Nora Tess never quit eating the entire weekend!!
Kudos Uncle Maury for pulling it off and to everyone else for making it so much fun.
This was the 'sisters' inducting Maury into the "Old Folks Gang" He is the gorgeous dark haired "woman" in the middle!
