HALLOWEEN

Halloween was really fun this year.  I'm a BIG Halloween fan.  I think it's one of those Holidays that there isn't alot of pressure, like Thanksgiving and Christmas but it's so fun to dress up and there are tons of fun decorations around!   So, now that I'm really to old to dress up on my own, I live vicariously through N.T.   Last year, Nora was just over 1 so Halloween was fun for us, but she didn't totally get it.  This year however she thought it was the best thing ever.   We started trick or treating and after every house....."next house" she'd say.   She wouldn't even put her coat on because she wanted to show everyone her Minnie dress.   She dressed up as Minnie Mouse this year.  She LOVES Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and she spent the month of October, in her Minnie dress.  She has an older friend that keeps asking her what she is going to be next year, and she keeps saying, "I'm Minnie!"   I have to say that she makes the CUTEST Minnie Mouse that I've ever seen.

We did have a few moments where we had to review good Halloween etiquette.   1.  You can't just walk right into everyones house. (This happened because the first few houses we went to specifically to trick or treat and visit for a minute so we went in there houses.  The first house we went to just walking down the street she tried to just walk right in their house)    2. Refusing candy is rude  (This happened when someone tried to give her a chocolate wrapped as an eyeball.  "No, Thank you" she said as she put it back in his bowl, "Mama, I didn't want that eyeball!"   I'm pretty sure I turned bright red!   The next time a woman was giving her a bag of skittles, and she had spotted some starbursts so she said, No, Thank you and reached in for the starbursts - Oh man!)  3. Sometimes people only give you one piece of candy, instead of a handful - and that's ok! (The first few houses of people we knew, of course gave her HUGE handfuls of candy so if someone only gave her one candy she just stood there with her bag open waiting for more.)

Minnie and all her Loot
Lickin' Her Chops
(and yes that is a small bottle of pepsi that someone gave her - which I did NOT allow her to drink!!)
